Udon Thani International School (UDIS) inspires internationally-minded, balanced learners who thrive and become active, global citizens.
We explored Google Earth to find places around us. We looked for our school and shared some sentiments. We also traveled to Japan to visit Disney Land. Learners were very excited to explore Google Earth to find their house and draw a map. We are beginning to understand that some information can be retrieved from computers, mobile phones, or Ipads.
Communication and Language
This week we reviewed all the sounds 's' 'a' and started exploring 't' sound. We made a clock to tell the time and tea party for our teddies.
We read '10 little Tadpoles.
We counted the tadpole as we read the book.
We made our own mini Frog sensory bin
We listened to 'I am a little Tadpole' by Ms. Phibz
We compared teddies in the Toy Shop
We counted the toys to find out which set was more?
We then watched a Pattern challenge by Ms. Phibz and created our own.

Draw circles on a piece of paper and put different coloured paints in shallow trays. Choose a number between 1 and 10 or 1-20 . Dip your finger into paint and add that many petals to one of the circles, making a flower. Count the petals to check how many you have and write that number in the middle of the circle. Choose another number and do the same to another circle on your page. Fill up your page with colourful flowers, each with different amounts of petals.

Collect 20 leaves from your garden or a local park. Write the numbers 1-20, one on each leaf, using a thick marker pen. Use a hole punch to make a hole in either end of the leaves and then thread them onto a piece of string. Don’t forget to put them in the correct order! You could then put up your homemade number line in your bedroom to help you remember the order of the numbers.

Play the story If you have some toy dinosaurs at home you can wash them and check whether they need mending just like Harry. Having a bath with the dinosaurs might be fun. You may like to take them in a garden to play or to bed. If you don’t have toy dinosaurs you could use other toys instead. |
