Sharing the planet

Transdisciplinary theme: An inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution

Central idea:We connect with the natural environment through our curiosities and responsibilities

In Literacy,

We have been looking at 'You Choose' as part of our T4W. We discussed and shared our dream house and looked at several pictures of houses. The task for the learners was to create their dream house with lego and post it on tapestry. They did quite well.

Phonics

- We reviewed our rhymes and played a game.

The task for the learners was to go around their house to listen to the sounds they can hear. For example, birds, cars, trucks, buses, trees, etc..

In Math,

This week talked about shapes and introduced Hexagon and Pentagon 

The task for the learners was to find the shapes around their house and post on tapestry. I then gave them another challenge to find Hexagon around their house. They had fun finding shapes.

In Thai 

Ms Doum read a story 

Communication and language

Ms Phibz made a video 

DIY Telephone

Challenged the learners to listen carefully to the instructions and make one themselves. Learners posted their telephones on tapestry. 

Personal, social and emotional skills.

Ms Phibz posted some yoga poses and guess what the learners took full action on posting their own yoga poses on tapestry. Well done K1
