Germs

In K1 this week, we have been talking about all the things that are happening with COVID-19 and how to keep ourselves safe and healthy. This week we started talking about germs. What are germs? We looked closely at our
hands with the magnifying glass to see all the shiny and squiggly germs walking around. We discussed washing our hands multiple times a day, singing washing, washing our hands and keeping the germs away and also covering our mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and then throwing it away immediately in the bin. We have been practicing this every day and all the time. K1 children are beginning to understand why we need to wash hands and keep the germs away.

- We then went outside our classroom the next day to find presents Mr. Owl wanted to take for his aunty. We had to find the right numbers in order by looking at our number line and find out what were in the box. Learners had lots of fun finding candies in the last box.

This week we reviewed our Learner profile attribute
" Caring"

We discussed what does caring means to us and how can we practice that this week. Learners had a very good understanding. They understood that being caring means sharing and taking turns when working or play in a group.
