Maths Carnival

MATHS CARNIVAL
Numbers everywhere!

We prepared a maths carnival and played different number games to win prizes. We also had a popcorn treat! K2 and Preschool also joined us.

This week in UOI and Literacy

We read 'The Ugly Duckling'

Children were quite curious about the character being sad. They are still developing an understanding of why we show empathy towards others and what is to be kind and caring with our friends, our parents, and any familiar adults.

In Phonics

We dressed our teddy to get ready to go to school.

We stressed on the sounds in the word. For example

Teddy needs to br-u-sh his teeth
Teddy needs to c-om-b his hair
Teddy needs  to w-a-sh his f-a-ce

In Thai

We have been learning to recognise our names

We celebrated Loy Krathong on Monday

Christmas Event

Theme - Christmas Stories

Early years will be singing a song about the book
'The Elves and the Shoemaker'

We would like all children to dress as Elves for the performance and so children can wear red or green clothes. We will make hats and elf ears for the children in class as part of our Christmas activities. Please do not buy anything special for the costume but try to use clothes you already have as we try to support sustainability and reuse and recycle in our effort to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Below are some examples of what your child might wear:
