For our next Unit of Inquiry ' How We Express Ourselves' we had our first provocation to tune in to our Unit. 

How We Express Ourselves

Central idea: We explore and make sense of our world through the stories we tell      ,

What lines of inquiry will define the scope of the inquiry into the central idea?

• Physical movement as a means of expression (form)
• Exploration of materials as a means of expression (function)
• How I express myself through the stories I tell and the marks I make (change)

Iguana class came back to school to find their classroom a mess!

We have been going around the school to find out clues that were leading us to the mystery. 

We had to then put all the pieces together..

Our Halloween party is coming up soon!

Halloween Fancy Dress Party 

Thursday 31st October 

Dear Parents,

On Thursday 31st October we will be having a Halloween party in the early years. This will be a fancy dress party so please come dressed in your favourite Halloween costume!

The party will be held between 8.30-9.30 on the court. On this occasion, the event is for children only.

We are asking parents to provide a plate of food for their child to enjoy during our party. This is so that all children can be catered for regardless of dietary requirements.

We are providing some simple guidelines as to what you might want to include for your child’s picnic snack. 

• Small handful of chips
• Small sandwich or spring roll
• Vegetable sticks
• 1 piece of fruit
• 1 biscuit

As the food you provide will be alongside their regular snack and lunch, we have included a picture for guidance on how much food to send.

SHOW AND TELL

Our show and tell would be different this term. We are now going to bring our favourite storybooks from home in any language and share it with our friends.

Story in a bag!

Dear Parents,

Our goal in this current Unit of Inquiry' “ How We Express Ourselves” is to encourage students to express themselves through their favourite stories. Story in a  bag activity is to help students to practice their communication and listening skills. Please help your child choose 1 book that they really like reading at home. Their books will be returned after your child presents them to the class.

จุดประสงค์ของเราในหัวข้อ “เราแสดงออกถึงความเป็นตนเองอย่างไร” จุดประสงค์จะช่วยให้น้องๆ ได้แสดงออกถึงความเป็นตัวของตัวเองโดยผ่านการเล่านิทานที่น้องๆ ชอบ กิจกรรม กระเป๋านิทาน จะช่วยน้องๆ ในเรื่องทักษะการสื่อสาร ทักษะการฟัง ทางชั้นขอความร่วมมือผู้ปกครองช่วยน้องๆ ในการเลือกหนังสือนิทานที่น้องๆ ชอบอ่านหรือดูที่บ้านเพื่อนำมาเล่าหรือโชว์ให้เพื่อนๆ และน้องๆ จะนำหนังสือนั้นกลับกลับจากจากเล่าหรือโชว์กับเพื่อนๆ แล้วของเล่นรูปสัตว์ที่ชอบที่สุด
