Mr Bucky

Every weekend Mr Bucky will be going home to stay with a child from K1. He will go home with someone who is listening well and showing the PYP learner attitudes and attributes.

Please put a picture in the book provided telling us what you have done with Mr. Bucky over the weekend. We will then talk about it on Monday.

Please also sign up for our Mystery readers. It is a great opportunity for the children to experience different languages and most of all, their parents.

Children have now settled well in K1. We have had a very busy week.

We tuned into our unit more in-depth this week by reading the book 'Chrysanthemum'. We did a picture walk about what can we see on the book cover? What do we think the book will be about? 

Responses were great! Some think it's about a mouse or a flower 

We also tuned into our show and tell this week. I was very happy to see children taking an active part and enthusiasm. They have been very excited about bringing their favourite things from home to share it with the whole class. It is building their confidence and communication skills.

In Math and Literacy.

We have been counting numbers 1-10 and trying different ways to recognise our names.

Thank you to all the parents supporting children settling down with the routines in the morning. Please remember to say bye to them. It makes a huge difference to their day.
