The Most Magnificent Thing

This week we have been quite busy being creative in K1.

In UOI this week

We discussed as a whole class what materials are? What are they made of?

Science experiments- Glue, salt, and watercolor

What happens when we put all these together?

We also learned two big words that start with " s" and "f" sound.

Floating and Sinking. We talked about things that float and that don't

 M &M Science experiment

Students had fun arranging M & M in a pattern around the edge of a plate alternating colours in any number they like- singles, doubles, triples, etc.

Before pouring the water I asked them to think what will happen to M & M after it gets wet?

Then we watched the colours stretch and bleed out away from the  M &Ms, colouring the water.

We then recorded what happened?

In Literacy this week
