How We Express Ourselves-

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

What a great start to our Term 2, students were given provocation to our new Unit with lots of JUNK  in the classroom and nothing else, no set learning spaces as an opportunity to see what they would do with all the boxes in the classroom. 

They were great thinkers and came up with loads of ideas and played around with boxes. There were prompts given to them to start using their thinking and self-management skills.

Tuning In

• Boxes around the classrooms
• Students walking around to see what they would like to make out of these boxes.
• They all collaborated together to make a house with boxes.
• Cooperation skills were widely visible. They worked well as a group 

What else is happening in Kindergarten 1 class this week?

As a school, we are practicing to promote Learner Agency - in which there is more input from the students. As teachers, we provide the best opportunities we can.  As a class, we are developing learning areas in our classroom. Students have done a tremendous job in designing the  Construction area.
